I am a Presbyterian Church (USA) Teaching Elder (pastor) living and working in the beautiful state of Arkansas. A child of the church I am blessed to serve in a time of great change and the possibility of renewal. As a Transitional Teaching Elder, I work with two congregations as they discern what great things God has in store for them in the future.
I am a self professed Presbyterian polity geek. I am intrigued by the many opportunities facing congregations and faith communities today. My work in the congregation and in church consulting gives me the opportunity of walking with churches and church leaders to discover new and innovative ways to let our polity and traditions enhance the work of the church today. My particular passions in ministry include mission work (both local and global), stewardship ministry, outreach in the community and the "public"church and teaching.
I blog occasionally on topics ranging from good books to politics to denominational issues in the PC(USA).
